according to COTE Top 10 and LEED principles. A sustainable, contemporary home for
a working couple with two young children, the house captures sunlight and daily thermal
winds, offers incredible Emigration Canyon views, preserves and restores natural
vegetation on a difficult site, creates a healthy indoor environment and enjoys low
operating costs. The home is designed to last a minimum 100 years with maximum
flexibility throughout its useful life and can be adjusted to fit the life cycles of its
occupants. The Emigration Canyon home is constructed with low maintenance, locally produced
materials, recycled content when possible, low water use, low VOC's and allows for
adaptation to and addition of future technologies. This house strives to be an example of
