The DFCM and the College of Eastern Utah hired GSBS to create a building program for their new Library and Classroom Building. The functions to be housed in the new building are currently scattered across the campus in old homes and adobe buildings. CEU-SJC's goal was to consolidate these functions into a new 30,000 square foot building. The programming team interviewed all the future users of the building to assess their needs and collected input from civil, electrical and mechanical engineers. We met several times with the users of the building and took them to tour other similar building types. Through this collaborative process we have created a program document that will be utilized throughout the project as a benchmark for design, construction quality, budget, and schedule.
