"Salt Lake Solar Study "
by AER staff

Mayor Peter Corroon of Salt Lake County, Utah, has hired the locally-based GSBS Architects to conduct a $100,000 feasibility study on the installation of solar panels at 28 county government buildings.

The six-month study will examine the possible installation of solar power and thermal solutions at facilities that include the county government building, recreation halls, libraries and senior centers.

Corroon is also supporting new legislation to greenlight the installation of solar energy installations at the Salt Palace Convention Center, the South Towne Expo Center and the county jail.
